The disciplinary integration of medicine with engineering is an important driving force to accelerate the innovation of medical science and technology and the training of innovative talents.Based on the analysis of the practice path and characteristics of disciplinary integration of medicine with engineering in the aspects of scientific research,development of academic subjects and talent training among ten"double-first-class"universities with engineering as their preponderant disciplines,participating in China's construction plan of world-class universities and first-class disciplines,this paper is devoted to some suggestions and recommendations for local comprehensive universities as follows.On the basis of learning from the experiences of"double-first-class"universities,they should seize development opportunities,survey their own professional advantages and resource guarantee conditions,and deeply integrate into regional development.We should be brave in breaking the barriers between traditional disciplines to train interdisciplinary teachers,strive to cooperate with various forces to build a unifiedmed icine-engineering entity involving governance,education,research,practice,explore professional construction of medicine-engineering discipline and cultivation of inter-disciplinary talents adapted to local conditions,and effectively promote local comprehensive colleges and universities to achieve high-quality and intensive development.
