The fact that Shenzhen has experienced rapid development over the past forty years has demonstrated that innovative entrepreneurship by professionals serves as a driving force for social and economic progress. It acts as a large talent pool for young people seeking employment and as an internal driving force for the high-quality development of emerging industries. However, the existing comprehensive framework for traditional innovation and entrepreneurship education faces challenges such as weak targeting towards disciplinary specialties, inadequate design of educational curricula, and insufficient professional expertise in innovation and entrepreneurship. These issues make it difficult to meet the demands of civil engineering professionals in the context of the new engineering disciplines for innovative entrepreneurship. To address this, the article proposes integrating other closely related capabilities in entrepreneurship, such as personal expression skills and business risk management, into the curriculum of innovation and entrepreneurship education, considering the characteristics of engineering students. It suggests establishing a new system for innovation and entrepreneurship courses that combines"personal capacity building","professional skill development",and"benchmark enterprise empowerment".Ultimately, this system aims to develop a new approach to innovation and entrepreneurship education in the field of civil engineering, based on disciplinary specialties and driven by the resolution of engineering challenges and societal needs.
