In the new context of the"New Medicine"concept,guiding graduate students'learning is a fresh challenge that educators need to address.The current pathology graduate training model faces issues such as inadequate cultivation of practical abilities,the need to improve scientific research and innovation capabilities,and neglect of humanistic qualities and ideological and political education.This paper,starting from the reform of the pathology graduate training model,conducts an in-depth exploration of the integration of ideological and political education into the cultivation of clinical capabilities and scientific research literacy.The practice of the Department of Pathology,School of Basic Medical Sciences/Department of Pathology at Xiangya Hospital,Central South University,has demonstrated that this model is instrumental in enhancing the clinical abilities,scientific research literacy,and ideological and political qualities of pathology graduate students.
