Postgraduate education is a high-level education above the undergraduate level.With economic globalization,equipping students with international vision and innovative ability has become one of the important goals of postgraduate education.Currently,the traditional teaching mode can no longer meet the requirements of postgraduate training,and urgently needs to be reformed.Taking course of Specialized English for Ornamental Horticulture as an example,this study summarizes a series of issues in the teaching process,such as confused studying goals,limited teaching content,and solo teaching method.To solve these issues,the course team has explored and practiced a series of curriculum reforms such as reshaping teaching objectives,reconstructing teaching content,improving teaching methods,and optimizing course assessment.Our reforms have achieved good teaching results and could provide a reference for similar courses in other universities.
