The course Environmental Loads on Ships and Marine Structures is crucial in marine engineering education, aiming to develop students'understanding and mastery of the dynamic response and load characteristics of ships and marine structures in marine environments.Traditional teaching methods rely heavily on theoretical lectures, facing issues such as insufficient class time, single teaching methods, and low student engagement. This paper describes a series of teaching reforms by introducing practical teaching sessions, utilizing information technology, incorporating classic case studies, and enhancing teacher-student interaction. Results show that these innovative methods significantly improve teaching effectiveness, stimulate students'interest and innovation, and lay a solid foundation for training high-quality applied engineering talents.
