This paper discusses the cross-major elective course teaching of Coastal and Marine Disasters as a case study,highlighting innovations in teaching methodology.The approach focuses on stimulating student autonomy,implementing task-oriented teaching organization with full member participation,and utilizing technology-enhanced methods.Emphasizing a student-centered perspective,this study integrates classical knowledge systems with innovative teaching approaches.The collaboration between permanent faculty members and visiting experts and scholars,along with the integration of online independent study and in-person discussions,is implemented.The pedagogical innovation is enriched through the utilization of practical engineering case studies,rigorous data analysis,digital modeling,cutting-edge technological advancements,and the incorporation of intelligent ocean concepts.
