As an important way of talent training,higher education has an important influence on regional economic development.This paper constructs a theoretical research framework for the scale expansion mechanism of higher education at the backdrop of Chinese society.Based on the panel data set of 21 prefecture-level cities in Guangdong province,using spatial autocorrelation analysis and dynamic spatial measurement model,the paper reveals the temporal evolution process,spatial differentiation characteristics and influencing factors of the scale of higher education in Guangdong Province.
