With the expansion of enrollment scale in recent years,the interest of undergraduate students majoring in forestry has declined,which is related to major awareness,personal interests,and employment prospects.This article elaborates on a series of reforms carried out by Guangxi University's forestry major to enhance the major interest of undergraduate students,including improving major awareness,respecting personal interests,providing career guidance,enhancing teaching quality,strengthening practical abilities,establishing mentor system and providing quality resources.Practice has shown that these reform measures have significantly improved the major interest of undergraduate students majoring in forestry and can serve as a reference for similar majors.
