Ideological and political education is a vital pathway to implement the fundamental task of virtue cultivation.Professional degree postgraduates is a significant category of China's postgraduate education.Due to the complexity of their training process and the diversity of participantsof professional degree postgraduates,ideological and political education has not been effectively implemented.The purpose of the study is to better carry out ideological and political education,enhance the comprehensive quality of talents,and fulfill the fundamental task of virtue cultivation for professional degree postgraduates.Based on years of experience in managing professional degree postgraduate education and combined with surveys of various subjects involved in their training,this paper summarizes and analyzes the current status and deficiencies of ideological and political education for these students,proposes a"five-elements"ideological and political education system for professional degree postgraduates,involving"education goals,education subjects,education content,education methods,and education evaluation".The study hopes to provide a new idea for the ideological and political education of professional degree postgraduates.
