The course Urban Rail Transit Operation and Management is one of the core courses of transportation specialty,which bears the important responsibility of ideological and political education of rail transit specialty courses.This paper deeply explores the ideological and political elements from the three directions of Chinese people,railway people and people of Jiaotong University,and puts forward the method of excavating the ideological and political elements of the curriculum.Starting from the three levels of socialist core values,railway spirit,urban rail culture,spirit of Jiaotong University,school motto and school spirit,this paper focuses on the organic integration of six ideological and political directions of family and country feelings,humanistic quality,scientific spirit,professional quality,practical innovation and personality development with ten knowledge units.The paper constructs a curriculum ideological and political system and summarizes the integration cases of curriculum knowledge units and ideological and political elements.Taking the ideological and political teaching design of the course"Basic Theory of Ticket System and Ticket Price"as an example,this paper expounds the specific implementation process of ideological and political teaching.This study can provide reference and ideas for the ideological and political teaching and teaching reform of urban rail transit related courses.
