In the context of global change,the protection of water resources and the aquatic environment is central to China's ecological civilization construction in the new era,and it is crucial for the sustainable development of the nation's economy,environment,and society.This study uses a section from the Water Resources and Water Environment course-specifically,the Dujiangyan Water Conservancy Project and its implications-as a case to explore the integration of ideological and political education within the curriculum.The paper provides a detailed account of the course's ideological and political education case,including its teaching design,methods,and implementation process.It explains how to effectively utilize the ideological elements inherent in the course to seamlessly integrate professional education with ideological and political education.The objective is to impart professional knowledge while subtly incorporating ideological and political education,aiming to develop students'awareness of water conservation,environmental protection,and green development principles,and to cultivate their sense of responsibility,commitment to scientific and technological advancement,and national pride.Ultimately,this approach seeks to achieve a comprehensive educational experience.
