To cultivate the key competencies of tourism management undergraduates is to respond to the urgency of the change of the times,to solve the needs of the current tourism industry development,and to comply with the principle of"ontological development"of human beings.Based on"demand-function",this paper defines the key competencies of undergraduate majoring in tourism management in application-oriented universities as"independent learning ability,critical thinking ability,innovation ability,and psychosocial ability".In view of the practical difficulties faced in the current training,such as"conceptual cognition,curriculum reform,and practical teaching",and we put forward the solution under the perspective of synergy theory for the practical dilemmas faced by the current cultivation of"conceptual cognition,curriculum reform,and practical teaching",i.e.,synergistic development of key competencies cultivation and talent program cultivation.The solution is the synergy of"knowledge,benefit and governance"in the development of key competencies,as well as the contingent measures for the cultivation of talent program,key competencies curriculum system,and university-industry cooperation to strengthen the practical teaching.
