To analyze the differences in experimental teaching of civil engineering majors in Chinese and European universities,four universities are selected for comparative analysis.The differences in laboratory construction,faculty team,training program,teaching methods,and teaching evaluation are discussed in detail,as well as the advantages and disadvantages in the field of experi-mental teaching.Referring to the advanced experimental teaching concepts and practices of European universities,the suggestion for reforming the experimental teaching system of civil engineering is put forward by combining the characteristics of the civil engineering program of Qingdao University of Technology.
