The selection or construction of an appropriate instruction design paradigm is a decisive factor in generating high-quali-ty teaching.Various factors,such as the teaching context and course characteristics,determine that the instructional design for the blended online-offline course"Introduction to Civic Competence"must adopt the public life paradigm,to take the real public life of u-niversity students as the teaching context,to set specific teaching goals of knowledge extraction-value guidance-ability enhancement-personality development,to use a blended teaching mode of online and offline instruction,and to employ the network-school-communi-ty collaborative education mechanism.The comprehensive use of the"Four Methods+BOPPPS"teaching approach allows for a thor-ough analysis and in-depth reflection on each course assessment,enhancing students'civic competence in areas such as humanities,politics,law,economics,communication,the internet,and global perspectives.Ultimately,this course aims to cultivate university stu-dents into high-quality citizens who are willing to participate,capable of critical evaluation,and skilled in building a sound public life.
