Applied Writing course has strong practical application,which means that in the process of teaching activities,the application orientation must be highlighted to the nature of the course.In the context of the continuous development of information technology,various smart teaching platforms and tools have been widely used in the teaching process of colleges and universities,and students have adapted to learning based on online platforms.Therefore,when carrying out teaching activities,teachers need to adapt to the learning habits of contemporary students and actively explore hybrid teaching models that organically combine online and offline to strengthen the guidance of student learning.This paper comprehensively analyzes and discusses the concepts and characteristics of online and offline hybrid teaching,analyzes the necessity of applying the hybrid teaching model,and proposes the overall ideas and principles for developing hybrid teaching in Applied Writing course from five aspects.Strategies for carrying out teaching activities provide teachers with reference for optimizing courses.
