The integration of ideological and political education into curricula is a vital part of universities'efforts to cultivate moral integrity and educate talent. In response to the current disconnect between ideological and political education and research capability development in graduate courses, which hampers the organic combination of ideological guidance and research practice, this paper takes Optical Communication course as an example and proposes an innovative teaching model.By incorporating ideological and political education into research practice through flipped classrooms, online resource sharing platform, and research project design, the model helps students transition from passive learning to independent research. This approach expects to enhance students'research innovation abilities, strengthens their sense of social responsibility and research ethics, and provides new pathways and references for the effective implementation of ideological and political education in graduate courses.
