"Water Supply and Drainage Pipeline Engineering"is a main course for all kinds of environmental related major in the higher education institutions.It is also very important for China's urbanization construction.In order to achieve the dual-carbon goal of"carbon peak,carbon neutral",students in major of environmental engineering need to have a deeper understanding of the connotation of dual carbon and strengthen their practice ability.This paper discusses the methods and approaches of ideological and political education in the class of water supply and drainage pipeline engineering under the vision of"double carbon".Students'sense of identity and responsibility for the"double carbon"goal could be enhanced through the ideological guidance,concept shaping,knowledge acquisition and ability improvement.This is helpful for our country to successfully achieve the"double carbon"goal.
