Paradigm Construction of the Study of Culture:Multidimensional Perspective in Interdisciplinary Contexts
Different from British and American culture studies tradition, which mainly focus on issues like contemporary culture, race, class and gender,German study of culture is based on linguistics, looking at both history and the present, integrating multiple disciplinary backgrounds such as literature, linguistics, history, art, political science, sociology, and even natural science.Through analyzing the relevant cultural phenomena in a pluralistic and heterogeneous way, this subject tries to establish a mechanism for interdisciplinary cooperation and dialogue, and to construct a new"problem-solving"paradigm using culture as media.Under the current international situation, the study of culture,as a kind of research paradigm, pays attention to global issues such as refugees, crisis and climate change and paves its way through internationalization, pluralism research horizons and transnational research methods, while reflecting, reconstructing, and reshaping the discipline system at the same time.
