Research on the Layout Recovery of Haiyan Xu Garden in Late Qing Dynasty
The value of the recovery and application of ancient garden painting has been specially given attention by academics in recent years.Meanwhile,the repeated discussions have also been raised about some related issues,such as the authenticity of the landscape in the painting and the insufficient accuracy of traditional paintings in expressing the orientation and scale of the elements of the landscape.Xu Garden Atlas,which has a lot of texts suggesting modifications left in the paintings,is worth analyzing for its value of garden recovery.Therefore,focusing on the Xu Garden Atlas,the paper aims to restore the layout of Xu Garden by methods of image-image mutual certification,image-text mutual certification,and so on.In this way,more reliable pieces of evidences for a deeper understanding of the Chinese Traditional Garden was provided.
