Analysis on the Decorative Features of Bricks and Stones in Yiliang Confucian Temple Based on Semiotics Theory
Due to its unique geographical location,Yiliang Confucian Temple is not only influenced by the official architecture of the Central Plains,but also has unique regional characteristics.Among them,the masonry decoration has a strong symbolic character,which is a direct reflection of the cultural value and artistic value of the Confucian Temple.Based on semiotic theory,this paper takes Yiliang Confucian Temple masonry decoration as an example to analyze the masonry decoration in Confucian Temple architecture.It analyzes the composition and expression of its symbols,explores the symbolic meanings contained in them,and summarizes the masonry decoration features of Yiliang Confucian Temple.
