An Analysis of the Low-tech Stone Construction Techniques in the Ancient Mediterranean Region
Based on literature and investigation,the study explores the structure types and technical capabilities of early stonework in the Mediterranean region,reveals the construction strategies of ancient civilized stone construction under low-tech conditions,and understands the development of construction methods and construction techniques.Through the phenomenon of stonework,it is found that the factors that promote the development of skills and the transformation of characteristics include social forms and beliefs in gods,material cognition and structural rationality,metal smelting and tool development,etc.In ancient societies where manual labor was the main method,there were crossing the commonality across regions and times,this paper aims to provide new perspectives and ideas for the study of ancient low-tech traditional stonework techniques.
