Traditional construction techniques are an important part of intangible cultural heritage,especially for the renovation and restoration of Beijing's old city historical and cultural blocks.However,in the process of restorative construction,there has also been a lack of traditional construction techniques,and some non-traditional forms or practices are widely popular and even become"paradigms".The main reason for this type of situation is the incomplete understanding of traditional architecture,especially the lack of"authentic"traditional practices.Therefore,this paper takes the facade decoration during the restorative construction of Yanshou Street as an example to explore the authentic expression of traditional construction techniques,in order to actively explore the restoration of the traditional style of the historical block.
