Architecture Design of Antique Covered Bridge for Nanguan in Jimo
Specific Combining the traditional building and bridge,covered bridge forms the d spiritual landscape of settlement to shape a livable functional and cultural public space for the traditional period of China.This paper introduces the design experiences of an antique covered bridge for Nanguan in Jimo.The design concept describes the general layout for modern city function and landscape definition from the traditional construction perspective.Followed by a form and pattern refined process according to the traditional craftsmanship.This paper aims to present a contributive discussion on traditional craftsmanship to face modern city construction.
