Compared with Chinese Classical Gardens,Paper Gardens are not limited by money.It can better reflect the yearning and spiritual construction of literati for the ideal living lives,which has the value beyond the garden itself.Lu Xiangsheng,as a representative of famous patriotic generals in the late Ming Dynasty,is a model for scholars to study.Now researchers mostly analyze Lu Xiangsheng's literati mentality by his poems.The Paper Garden"Meiyin Garden"described Lu Xiangsheng's construction of ideal residence and the expression of his spiritual world during the war,but the coupling value between landscape construction and Literati Spirit is ignored by scholars.Based on the historical materials of gardening characters and images in the late Ming Dynasty,this paper reproduces the landscape of Meiyin Garden,and analyzes the coupling between landscape construction and Lu Xiangsheng's spiritual construction in the chronicle of Meiyin Garden through the naming of garden scenery and the implication of plant configuration.It can not only provide a specific analysis for the construction of the spirit of patriotic literati in the late Ming Dynasty represented by Lu Xiangsheng,but also provide a partial supplement to the era value of Paper Garden.
