Under the background of rural revitalization,sustainable development in rural areas is disturbed and constrained by multidimensional resource conditions.Rural ecological niche,as a new interdisciplinary approach,has gradually become a new topic of widespread concern for domestic and foreign scholars in rural protection and sustainable development.The article systematically sorts out and summarizes the domestic and foreign research trends related to rural niche from two aspects:the concept evolution of rural niche and the application research of rural niche.It explores the current research status and weak links of rural niche,and further proposes prospects for the research and practice of rural niche.Priority should be given to the following development areas:theoretical and evaluation research of rural niche,and application practice of rural niche,providing reference for future research on rural niche.
