The Amdo area is one of the three major Tibetan areas in China, and is located in the key area of transition from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau to the Loess Plateau, the Hexi Corridor, and the Sichuan Basin.Under the background of cultural exchanges and collisions between Han and Tibetan architecture,Tibetan architecture in Amdo area has developed various types such as"Leihuo","Tiaotou purlin","Guapai"and other types based on their own regional characteristics. The decorative components under the eaves have greatly enriched the splendid overall appearance of Tibetan architecture. In the past, the Amdo area was limited by the huge geographical scale and lack of scientific research. Now it has become a hot spot along the Belt and Road, and its regional characteristics are facing the threat of significant convergence and the loss of characteristics. It is urgent to investigate the Amdo area and carry out in-depth research on the representative and diverse practices of decorative components under the eaves of Tibetan architecture.
