The Xiangtan Confucian Temple,dating back to the Southern Song Dynasty with its earliest extant structures from the Qing Dynasty. In this paper,the construction ruler of Xiangtan Confucian Temple is restored,the composition of plane and elevation scale is analyzed,and the characteristics of wooden frame are summarized. It further reveals the design logic and restoration techniques of official buildings in the Xiangtan area,contributing to accumulate cases for the study of official architecture in the Hunan region and promoting the preservation and research of local cultural heritage buildings.
