This paper primarily examines 29 different forms and 28 different lengths of Luban-rulers,posits that the core connotation of Luban-ruler is manifested by the modular relationship between a whole ruler and a half ruler and the length of the unite;the complex ruler surface is resulted from the particular social and cultural background. The conclusion is drawn from analysises on historical documentations,fieldworks and previous research achievements.
