Presently,the world is undergoing changes of a kind unseen in a century.The advent of the Fourth Scientif-ic and Technological Revolution and the deepening of economic globalization have turned the world into a global village.Though the trend toward multi-polarity is accelerating,various traditional and non-traditional security threats intertwine and pose new challenges to global gover-nance and the international system.In today's complex environment where China's national rejuvenation coincides with the once-in-a-century global changes,domestic and international dynamics become closely linked and inseparable,and systemic security challenges and comprehensive security threats are fre-quent,safeguarding and shaping China's strategic security is of extreme importance to realizing its second centenary goal.China must keep in mind its strategic security while viewing the once-in-a-cen-tury global changes.More importantly,China must safeguard and shape its strate-gic security on all fronts,which is crucial both to its national security in the new era and to its response to the once-in-a-centu-ry global changes.In this light,General Secretary Xi Jinping,by overseeing the general situation,has stressed the need to pursue a holistic approach to national security.Characterized by strategic and systematic thinking,such an approach has provided us with important ideological guidance.
