Build on Past Achievements to Move Ahead:Firmly Implement the Guiding Principles of the 20th National Congress of the CPC on Our New Journey to Preserve China's National Secu-rity
The report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC)clearly demanded that we resolutely pursue a holistic approach to national security and promote national security in all areas and stages of the work of the Party and the country,so as to ensure national security and social stabili-ty.Moreover,it set forth requirements for modernizing China's national security system and capacity to safeguard China's new pattern of development with a new security architecture.These are the major strategic plans the Party Central Commit-tee has made for preserving China's na-tional security in light of the underlying trends of our times,and reflect the funda-mental principles that guide our actions on the new journey to safeguard China's national security and create conditions conducive to it.Entering the new era,the CPC,under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core,has constantly achieved significant breakthroughs in theoretical innovations related to national security,alongside major accomplishments in its practice of ensuring China's national security.In particular,it has blazed a path of national security with Chinese charac-teristics through a series of solid,pioneer-ing,and groundbreaking measures per-taining to institutions,mechanisms,publicity,education,and the rule of law.Looking ahead,we should firmly imple-ment the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the CPC and fully pursue a holistic approach to national security on our new journey toward the accelerated modernization of China's national security system and capacity,which will contribute to our efforts to safeguard China's new development pattern with a new security architecture and advance Chinese modernization.
