Influence Law of Incipient Thermal Damage on Carbon Fiber/Bismaleimide Resin Composites
In order to study the incipient thermal damage of carbon fiber/Bismaleimide resin(CF/BMI)com-posites,taking the commonly used CCF300/QY8911 as research objects, the influences of heating temperature and heating time on the mechanical properties and damage mechanism of incipient thermal damage were studied by experiments. The results show that the tensile strength, compressive strength and shear strength roughly decrease with the increase of heating temperature and heating time;Except for a slight decrease in tensile modulus at 360℃ for 60 minutes and compressive modulus at 300℃ for 5 minutes, the elastic modulus remains basically unchanged at other heating temperatures and times.Rockwell hardness and Barcol hardness change with the heating temperature and heating time, and the changes of mechanical properties are basically synchronized. On these grounds, hardness testing can be used as the testing method for the incipient thermal damage of CF/BMI compos-ites,and the relationship between hardness parameters and mechanical properties was proposed.
