PPTA,known as para aromatic polyamide fiber,is one of the three high-performance fibers in the world.PPTA is obtained by dry jet wet spinning of poly(p-phenylenediamine)resin.Drying of PPTA polymer is one of the necessary processes before spinning,and the drying effect of the polymer directly affects the quality of the fiber.This article briefly introduces the production process of PPTA,summarizes and analyzes the drying tech-nology and equipment of PPTA polymer,provides a detailed introduction to the latest two-stage drying technology developed for the drying of PPTA polymer,which can assist in the development of the high-end market for PPTA.
