Research on Gas-solid Two-phase Flow in Horizontal Pipelines of Pneumatic Ship Unloaders Based on Two-fluid Model
The Euler two-fluid model is applied to simulate the pneumatic conveying process in a horizontal pipe. Before conducting research, the Euler two-fluid model is validated and compared with the pressure drop prediction formulas proposed by other scholars as well as the experimental results, which are in good agreement.A gas-solid dual fluid simulation was conducted on the horizontal pneumatic conveying pipeline of a 100 t/h pneumatic ship unloader, and the effects of different solid-gas ratios on the pressure drop and speed were studied. The conclusion was drawn that the solid-gas ratio has a maximum value in the pipeline without material blockage.
