Comparison and Selection of Plant Substrates Suitable for Vegetation Restoration of Rocky Slope
Vegetation substrate is the basis of plant growth in slope ecological restoration project. In order to select the vegetation substrate suitable for the vegetation restoration of rock slope in the high altitude area of western Sichuan,in this study, the representative proportions of four commonly used vegetation restoration techniques in China are selected to determine their physical and chemical properties, and the difference between physical and chemical properties of each substrate was compared by one-way ANOVA,and the comprehensive evaluation is carried out by principal component analysis. The results show that the maximum water holding capacity and total porosity of thick-layer based material spraying are the highest, reaching 2 169.71 g/kg and 80.70%,respectively,while those of spray sowing are the lowest,265.13 g/kg and 35.64%,respectively.The pH of four substrates ranged from 7.31 to 9.73,and the nutrient content of thick-layer based material spraying are significantly higher than those of the other three substrates, and the nutrient content of the spray sowing is the lowest. The properties of outside soil spray seeding and vegetation concrete are similar and between the first two.The results of principal component analysis show that water holding capacity, porosity and nitrogen content are the main factors affecting the physical and chemical properties of the substrates, and the comprehensive scores of the four substrates from high to low are in the order of thick-layer based material spraying>outside soil spray seeding>vegetation concrete>spray sowing. Therefore, the thick-layer based material spraying is at a good level in all aspects, and is suitable for vegetation restoration of rock slope under harsh climatic environment.
