Overall Design of Smokovac-Matesevo Section of Montenegro North-South Highway Based on Eastern European Standard System
The North-South Highway in Montenegro is the first motorway in the Republic of Montenegro,which is also a major infrastructure project for Chinese enterprises in Eastern Europe.In the paper,a general introduction to the design principles followed by the project is made from the aspects of project characteristics,selection of technical indicators,horizontal and vertical design,subgrade and pavement,bridge and culvert,tunnel engineering,etc..Taking the horizontal and vertical design of the route as an example,a detailed analysis is carried out in terms of the determination of normative indicators,the difference in indicators between China and Montenegro,and the application of technical indicators,which can provide reference for the follow-up projects in Montenegro and Chinese contractors'engaging in construction of highway in Eastern Europe.
