Comparative Analysis of Traffic Loads Between Former Yugoslavia Standard and Chinese Standard
In this paper,taking the typical highway bridge in China and the former Yugoslavia region as study object,the finite element analysis software Midas/Civil is used to establish model and to calculate the behavior of the bridges under the traffic loads prescribed in the Chinese Standard and the former Yugoslavia Standard.The calculation results show that the loading effect on bridges under the former Yugoslavia Standard is very similar to the effect under the Chinese Standard 2015 edition(difference is around 20％).When carry out preliminary design or Main Design for such bridges,by applying necessary and rational adjusting coefficient,it is feasible to use Chinese Standard 2015 edition to make initial estimation on structural dimension and reinforcement arrangement in order to meet the requirement of the former Yugoslavia Standard.The outcome of the research shall provide references for design of overseas bridge projects.
