Analysis on the Design Standards and Engineering Application of Road Safety Barriers in Central and Eastern Europe
Road traffic safety facilities are important measures to effectively reduce traffic accidents and ensure human safety.Although the purpose is the same,the standards and norms involved in various countries and regions of the world are indeed different.The project of the North-South Highway in Monte Negro is dominated by European Union standards,supplemented by the norms of the former Yugoslavia and local laws and regulations,and constitutes the whole project standards and norms system.In this paper,relying on the North-South Highway Project in Montenegro,the relevant standards,specifications and specific application of the traffic safety protection fence under European Standard in the construction process are elaborated.
