Brief Discussions on Risk Management of International Contract in DB Mode
International projects are featured with high complexity, large contract amount, long construction period and numerous stakeholders, among which the most distinctive feature is building activities occurring in overseas countries.Because the project is subject to the legal constraints of the country(region)where the project is located, international projects are often faced with exchange rate, politics, price rise and other risks. For projects that executed in Design-Build mode, the best way to avoid these risks in the project implementation process is to use contracts to manage the participants. In this paper, the characteristics of contract, risk identification and factors of contract risk under DB mode are introduced, and the measures of contract risk management are elaborated in detail, and the healthy development of international project contract management is explored,so as to help improve the capability of construction enterprises to cope with contract risks in international projects.
