Design and Analysis of Reinforcement Plan for a Suspension Bridge with Steel Box Girders
In the early stages of the construction and development of large-span suspension bridges with steel box girder, due to imperfect design and construction concepts, cracking often occur in the steel box girder during operation, which affects the safe operation of the suspension bridge.Taking a single span steel box girder suspension bridge with the main span length of 1 108 m as study background,a static analysis model of the bridge segment is established using the finite element software ANSYS plate shell unit. The refined stress analysis results of the crack location are obtained, and the causes of the steel box girder cracking are clarified. At the same time, three reinforcement measures are proposed and the three measures are combined. The results show that simultaneous application of the three measures to the steel box girder could effectively reduce the stress at the cracking point, thereby achieving the treatment effect.
