Standardized Design and Experimental Study of PHC Pile for Medium and Small Span Bridges in Dongting Lake Expressway
Based on the engineering background of a medium and small span bridge of an expressway in Dongting Lake District,the standardized design and application of PHC pile in medium and small span bridges for expressways in Dongting Lake District are systematically studied through structural calculation,economic comparison,and emission reduction comparison and other ways.Pile loading and self-balancing tests of PHC pile are carried out to verify the reliability of the research results.The analysis results show that the strength and stiffness of PHC pile meet the requirements of design and specification.According to the calculation of pile length shortening ratio,compared with the conventional bored pile scheme,the PHC pile scheme can save the cost by 22%and carbon emission by 32%.The field test results show that PHC pile in the round gravel layer in Dongting Lake area is the end bearing friction type pile,and the test results verify the applicability of PHC pile in the geological conditions of Dongting Lake area.The standardized design method and quality inspection requirements can provide reference for the popularization and application of PHC pile in the same type of bridges.
