Analysis on the Impact of Water Storage in Adjacent Reservoirs on the Stability of Existing Road Tunnels and Optimisation Measures
In order to study the effect of reservoir storage on the stability of existing tunnels under complex geological conditions,a finite element numerical simulation method is used to compare and analyse the effect of reservoir storage on the existing tunnel structure and seepage without optimisation measures and with the application of water curtain measures. The results show that with the use of reinforcement measures, some parts of the tunnel cannot meet the design requirements after reservoir storage, and groundwater seepage has a greater impact on the tunnel, requiring necessary reinforcement and protection measures;with the use of water curtain and toe plate reinforcement optimization measures, the tunnel vault displacement, axial force and bending moment are reduced by 18.40%,31.52%and 29.80%respectively compared to the former, which is a significant reduction. At the same time, the pore water pressure and seepage flow are significantly reduced,by approximately 40%and 20%respectively compared to the previous measures.
