Analysis on Interfacial Shearing Failure of Asphalt Pavement on Bar-reinforced Steel Deck Bridge Based on X-ray Tomography
To explore the characteristics of interfacial shearing failure of asphalt pavement on bar-reinforced steel deck bridge,CT scanning is utilized to obtain cross-sectional images before and after shear failure.Digital image processing software Avizo is used to analyze and identify the slices, and reconstruction is made in 3D.This enables the determination of the distribution patterns of porosity and void fractal dimensions at different internal layers before and after specimen failure. The analysis of shear failure characteristics is conducted from both macroscopic and microscopic perspectives. The research findings indicate that shear failure in the specimen primarily occurs in regions with initially dense void distribution, and the severity of failure increases with larger voids. After shear failure, the fractal dimension increases, and its distribution correlates with the trend of porosity distribution, indicating a fractal process during shear failure.Furthermore, the development pattern of cracks is concluded, and the role of shear reinforcement in this process is analyzed.
