Research Progress on the Release Characteristics of VOCs from Road Petroleum Asphalt
During processing and utilization of road petroleum asphalt,a large amount of toxic and carcinogenic volatile organic compounds(VOCs)are continuously released, which can cause serious harm to the environment and humans. In the paper, the domestic and international research results are concluded, the main components of road petroleum asphalt VOCs are summarized;the hazards of road petroleum asphalt VOCs are discussed from the perspective of environment and human health;reviews the release mechanism of road petroleum asphalt harmful gases under different environmental characteristics;finally, the life cycle of road petroleum asphalt is divided into four stages, and the emission characteristics of VOCs of road petroleum asphalt throughout its life cycle are analyzed;on this basis,it is put forward that improve the unified criteria for evaluating the hazards of road petroleum asphalt VOCs,explore their release mechanisms from a microscopic perspective, and develop measurement methods for accurately measuring the composition and concentration of VOCs in an open environment are issues that need to be addressed.
