Research on layout spacing of Variable Message Signs based on BIM and Driving Simulation
To establish the safe spatial configuration of VMS within high-class three-dimensional composite passageways,a driving simulation experiment has been designed based on the Shiziyang Link Project. In this experiment, the difference in running speed between adjacent road sections(△V85),the variance between operating and designed speeds of the same road section(△V),and the Speed Reduction Coefficient(SRC)are selected as analytical indices, and the experimental data of 30 drivers are collected. The results show that the △V85 and △V of different layout spacing schemes are significantly different, and the degree of driving safety is different. The results show that the 2 km spacing scheme has a relatively smooth effect on speed and with high safety.
