Research on the Merging and Setting Scheme of Expressway Interchanges and Characteristic Service Areas
The expressway reconstruction and expansion project in economically developed areas has a dense distance between interchanges due to its own road network structure,and the land resources in the area are extremely valuable,making it extremely difficult to add new service areas.In the paper,taking the reconstruction and expansion of the Machong Interchange on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway as an example,through study of alternative solutions,the existing land resources are explored efficiently and the land is utilized intensively,thus a plan for merging the interchange service area is proposed,and a characteristic service area model is introduced to further improve the utilization rate,attractiveness,and competitiveness of the service area.
