Analysis of the Impact of Newly Built Pile Caps on the Foundation of Adjacent Old Pile Caps in Water during Reconstruction and Expansion
Due to limited conditions of the arrangement of bridges in water of the expressway renovation and expansion project, the distance between the newly built pile caps and the old pile caps is relatively close.Steel cofferdams need to be set up for the construction of new pile caps in water, which will have a certain impact on the adjacent old pile cap under the conditions of internal and external water head difference and cofferdam deformation. In this paper, the mechanical analysis model of existing bridge foundations is established based on the actual project.Based on different construction stages, the changes in foundation displacement and internal force of existing bridge structures are analyzed and the safety of existing bridge structures is evaluated. The calculation results indicate that the bearing capacity of the structure meets the requirements, and the interaction between the new pile caps construction and the old bridge structure is within controllable range.
