In order to improve the highway service level and transport conditions,the expansion and reconstruction of expressways have become the main demand for current transportation development.At the same time,in order to meet the requirements of high-quality development and green sustainable development of expressway construction in China,it is proposed to conduct detailed investigation and design for the expansion and reconstruction of expressways.Taking the design and construction of the reconstruction and expansion of Shuikou-Baisha Section of the Shenyang-Haikou Expressway project as an example,the detailed investigation and design scheme for the expansion and reconstruction of expressways are discussed in the paper.Through in-depth research on key technologies such as precise fitting of horizontal and vertical planes,differential settlement control of subgrade in soft soil sections,new and old embankment splicing technology,and splicing bridge structure design,and actively adopting new technologies and processes during the construction phase,the difficult problems encountered in the expansion can be effectively solved.
