Overall Design of Shuangyumen Bridge for the Liuheng Sea-crossing Channel
The Shuangyumen Bridge,a key control project of the Liuheng Sea-crossing Channel in Zhoushan Port of Ningbo,is the largest single span suspended steel box girder suspension bridge with a main span of 1 768 m in the world. The bridge is designed as a semi-floating system structure, with dual 2-lanes carriageway. The main beam is split steel box girder, with 6 m spacing between the split boxes. In order to improve the wind resistance stability of super long-span suspension bridges in strong typhoon waters, the steel box girder is optimized in local areas to reduce vertical bending and torsional vortex vibration. The cable tower adopts a circular bearing platform group pile foundation and a portal type cable tower. The cable tower adopts a steel reinforced skeleton composite structure with tower columns and an integrally installed steel reinforced skeleton composite structure beam, alleviating the stress on key nodes, reducing the use of steel bars, simplifying on-site operation procedures, and accelerating construction progress. The gravity anchors and tunnel anchors is designed separately based on the terrain of the anchorage. The foundation is made of moderately weathered fused tuff as the bearing layer. After checking and verification, the calculation results of each component meet the requirements of the specifications.
