Research on the Effect of Different Waterborne Epoxy Resins on the Performance of SBR Modified Emulsified Asphalt
In order to improve the durability and rutting resistance of micro-surface pavements,a waterborne epoxy resin is used to compound and modify SBR-modified emulsified asphalt.Different kinds of waterborne epoxy resin-curing agent combination is designed to test waterborne epoxy resin emulsified asphalt evaporation residue of the three major indicators, fracture strength/elongation at break, and aggregate adhesion, wet wheel abrasion value, rutting test width/depth of the deformation rate of the indexes,so as to study the impact of the different waterborne epoxy resin and curing agent combinations of waterborne epoxy resin and waterborne epoxy emulsified asphalt micro-surfacing road performance. The test results show that:when the bisphenol A-type E44 waterborne epoxy resin and vinylamine adduct curing agent for the combined use of the cured emulsified asphalt binder evaporation residue consistency and viscosity, and aggregate adhesion has been significantly improved;regarding the prepared micro-surface treatment of the mixture, compared with the SBR modified emulsified asphalt micro-surface treatment, the value of the 1 h wet wheel abrasion decreases by 72.8%,the width of rutting test deformation rate(PLD)is reduced by 82.9%,depth deformation rate(PVD)is reduced by 91.1%,60℃ 60 min rutting depth is reduced by 66.5%,and 6 d wet wheel abrasion value is decreased by 79.0%,with the best comprehensive road performance. The comprehensive road performance of the E44 waterborne epoxy resin with alicyclic amine and aliphatic amine mixtures used in combination follows.
