Research on Interface Bonding Properties of Asphalt-Aggregate based on Drawing Test
In order to study the interface bonding properties of asphalt and aggregate,SK-70#matrix asphalt, rubber powder modified asphalt and SBS modified asphalt are selected for drawing tests under different temperature, aging and moisture conditions, and their drawing strength and failure forms are analyzed. The results show that the drawing strength of the three kinds of bitumen decreases with the increase of temperature, but the damage forms of each bitumen are different in the wide temperature range.Under the same temperature condition, the drawing strength of SBS modified asphalt is the highest, followed by rubber powder modified asphalt, and matrix asphalt is the lowest. The drawing strength of the three kinds of bitumen increases with the aging process, but the increase of the drawing strength of SBS modified is the lowest, and that of base bitumen is the largest. The addition of modifier has delayed the brittle fracture of asphalt and improved the aging resistance of base asphalt. The drawing strength of the three asphalt decreases with the extension of the water bath time, and the addition of the modifier could greatly reduce the water sensitivity of the asphalt and improve the water damage resistance. The drawing strength under dry conditions is essentially a reflection of the asphalt cohesion, and could not effectively quantify the deterioration of the interfacial bond performance of the asphalt. It is concluded that the wet/dry BSR value can be used as an effective index to measure the bonding property of asphalt interface.
